A Few Words from the Owners
Hello and welcome to our Website.
We believe it is important that children should have the best possible start in their early years as they learn to develop in their social and educational lives.
Join us and take the first step in providing your child with an excellent start in their formative years. We welcome everyone into our nursery family and are here to support you from the first day up until the time you leave us for main stream school.
Sending your child to nursery is a big step for both you and your child. With patience and dedication we are here to help your child to settle in, making the transition between home and nursery a pleasant experience.
Hackenthorpe Hall Nursery opened its doors in 1999 and is a delightful 17th Century manor house in which to give your child their first taste of education. Combining a highly secure 3/4 of an acre conservation garden with experienced caring staff, provides excellent opportunities for your child to flourish. Playing, exploring and learning is always encouraged and the garden is a safe place for your child to experience squirrels, birds and rabbits living in their natural habitat.
On a visit to our nursery you will visit our playrooms. They are lively, happy environments for your child to interact and learn through imaginative play. We have purpose built furniture which allows the babies and children to access the resources as and when they choose to play with them.
Our staff team has built up over 20 years and have become a strong working family. They have a wealth of experience and have become experts in settling in children and have the added benefit of our beautiful garden which is a distraction for any child in the first few weeks of nursery life.
You can also be assured that we have excellent security policies in place. We operate an intercom entry system to which a staff member opens the security door face to face to greet visitors and we have fully operational CCTV both inside the premises and on the nursery grounds — safety and security are paramount!
Thank you for taking the time to read on and we hope to see you soon when you visit the nursery, see the facilities first hand and meet the team.
Kind regards
The Brown Family
The first 1000 days of life, from conception to age 2, is a critical phase during which the foundations of a child's development are laid. if a child's body and brain develop well then their life chances are improved. Exposure to stresses or adversity during this period can result in a child's development falling behind their peers. Left unaddressed, experiences, such as abuse or conflict between parents, can stay with children throughout their lives, can cause harm to them and to others, and might be passed on to the next generation— House of Commons 2019
